  About Us
Our Halau
Ohina ‘O Mea Nani, translated to English “The gathering of Things Beautiful” Is exactly that.  A place for all of us, young and old, Hawaiian and Hawaiian At Heart to learn about the Spirit of Aloha and  for our kumu, to share the hula that comes from her heart.   The atmosphere of our halau is one of  “Ohana”.  We strive to be one family and in the spirit of Aloha try to make all feel welcome and comfortable.  We encourage the participation and of course desire the support and input of our parents and other family members in order to make our halau a place where all of us can grow and learn together as a family.

Our Kumu
Lori Goodness-Soares being Hawaiian, yet raised on the mainland of California in her desire to learn of her culture discovered her love for the hula.  Lori has been dancing hula for 25 years.  First with Aloha Dance Studio in Covina and then with  Kainoa Polynesian Dance Studio in West Covina where she gained most of her knowledge and experience.  In the late 80’s Lori began teaching to family members for entertainment at baby luaus and performing with the family band.  Eventually her love for the hula and her strong desire to learn the language and to spread that culture on to her children and to others who may not have had the privilege of growing up within that culture is what lead her to begin teaching and sharing what she has learned.
